How reviews work

This translation is provided for convenience. The French version is the reference.
Where they come from
Every review published on Murtella is linked to a real order, placed on the site and picked up at the restaurant. Nobody can leave a review without ordering, and one order gives one review only.
After the order, the customer receives an email invitation, at the earliest two hours after the pickup time. The link is personal and valid for thirty days. Everyone is invited, however things went: we never first ask “did it go well?” to choose who gets the invitation.
To avoid being a nuisance, the same person is not invited more than once a week, and every email contains a link to stop receiving invitations.
What is published
The first name given with the order, the rating out of five, the text if there is one, the date of the order and the date of the review. A review can't be edited once published, neither by its author, nor by the restaurant, nor by Murtella.
The restaurant can reply publicly, below the review. Its reply is signed with its name.
In what order
On a restaurant's page, reviews are shown from newest to oldest, with no other criterion. The average rating is the simple average of all published ratings. No payment changes either the order or the rating.
What can be removed
A review is never deleted. It can be hidden by Murtella, never by the restaurant, for a written and recorded reason: insulting or discriminatory remarks, a third party's personal data, content unrelated to the meal, a review clearly left by a competitor. A low rating is not a reason.
To report a review or dispute a removal, write to contact@murtella.fr, stating the restaurant and the date of the review.
What about Google?
After publishing a review here, we suggest to everyone that they also leave it on the restaurant's Google listing. The suggestion is the same for everyone, whatever the rating. What you write on Google is governed by Google's rules, not by these.
